Anyone else had spine surgery?

I've decided it's time to test out the new gym at my apartment complex since I've seriously got to drop the 40+ pounds I gained when I had 3 major spine surgeries in 2012. I've got the extra motivation of my husband coming home for a month long visit in October. He's military and we haven't seen him in almost a year (super exciting!) I'm curious if there's anyone else hitting the gym beyond walking on the treadmill and doing laps in the pool. I am going to try to see my pcm tomorrow to see if I can get into physical therapy to get some exercises that won't hurt me since I'm all bionicle.

I had surgery for scoliosis in 2006 and I'm cleared for everything. ???? do what you and your doctor are comfortable doing. You'll do great!

I'm a pro at anything core related or squats etc lol Thanks

5 days post op myself. Large L5/S1 herniation was fixed still have 3 more though. Sucks not being able to do somethings lol
