Gained 2lbs, how? I have no f-ing idea. I been eating smart, working out, WTF gives?

You are either retaining water (from increased exercise, stress, TOM, etc) or you're eating above maintenance. No way to tell which with limited info and a closed diary.0

Your body fluctuates as much as like 5 lbs in a single day. Depending on time of day you measure, what you're wearing if you were wearing anything, if you hadn't gone to the bathroom or had eaten something.
Water retention from starting a new exercise or pushing yourself more than usual, sodium, lack of bowel movement can all effect scale weight. It's why I use measurements and mirror to judge more than scale.
Also, is this over a week or two? If so, perhaps opening your diary for more info would help0 -

This is a huge misconception about getting into fitness and losing weight.
Op, is not building muscle. You cannot build muscle in a deficit. There's a tiny window of very small gains for those new to heavy lifting eating a good amount of protein but it is miniscule at best and ends quickly. Definitely not 2 lbs worth. Muscle building requires a calorie surplus and typically a good hypertrophy lifting routine.
Women in general are at even more of a disadvantage as we do not have the testosterone men do.0 -
