I recently have been switching shifts ( flipping shifts) so am on "DAYS sched. some days and NIGHTS on others. This has been a little difficult with meals and particularly in logging. MFP does not seem to 'post' my diary logs if I do not complete them on the actual date.:frown: ie: I worked Wed/Thurs/Fri overnights this week, started my logs on the actual day but finished them in AM when got home (ate brkf approx 6pm 12/2/10 / snacks/lunch while working, came home 12/3/10 had supper, exercised then finished log approx10 AM on 12/3/10). Now I have switched back to "Normal" days til Tues and will repeat schedule starting Wed..Not seeing my Diary post Is frustrating!!:grumble:

I'm not sure if there is an easier way, but I just go back to the previous day when the log when it opens up. For me it usually switches at 3:00 am.0

I work shifts. (on two jobs sometimes both jobs in one day) Plus I go to school Monday - Friday. I understand your frustration. I dont know if this is what you looking for or not, but here is how I complete my diary.
Breakfast is always the first meal I eat. I don't care if it is at 5pm I count it as breakfast... and I continue that pattern through out the day. I log it as it compares to me. As for the "date" I used the day that I am starting on. EX: I get up at 5pm on Wednesday, December 1st, 2010. I log that 5pm as breakfast and at around 3am on Dec 4th I will be eating my last meal of the day. (If I have a longer shift I stretch it out.) I dont log it on the 4th though. I log it as dinner on the 3rd. Then save when I am all done. Once I hit the sack, I have started a new day.
One of the confusing days comes when I work/school a "36 hour day" at this point, I do split it b/w two days.
If this is just more confusion than it is worth, then erase it all from your mind lol...
Hope you find what you need.0 -

Thank you. This is what I tried. Woke ate and logged breakf at 6pm on Wed. Ate snack about 1030pm, lunch 0230 am Thurs., snack at 0730 Am and home and supper about 0930AM Thurs. then logged in from snack to supper Thurs for Wed ( logged it on Wed date that I had started night before) but MFP is not showing my post on my home page any more nor having correct count of # days logged. WHY!?0 -
Well, sometimes if I dont save mine that day, it wont show up on the news feed... and the number of days logged is how many you have logged onto the site. Not how many you have logged your food. And the log counter starts over if you miss a day... even by an hour!0

What I've seen is someone changing their meal names to times. So like 12am-4am 4-8 8-12 12-4 4-8 8-12midnight0
