Hi all, I'm in a really miserable place at the moment I lost 4 stone last year and felt absolutely wonderful. But then of course life has gotten in the way, I've massively turned to comfort eating and have now put a stone and a half back on. I know it doesn't sounds like a lot, but I feel in such a weird place mentally that I can see it spiralling out of control if I'm not careful. I am a stay at home mum to a 2 year old and was previously an analyst in London, so I suppose a lot of my problem is boredom. Every day feels like Groundhog Day at the moment and I guess the main problem is that I eat because I'm bored and now, I'm eating because I'm depressed about how I look! I just need a good talking to to get me out of this rut.... I'm looking at all of my beautiful size 10 clothes hanging in the wardrobe that I was wearing at Christmas which are now too tight. I feel like crying
Is there anyone out there in a similar position? Or anyone who can give me a good shake and sort me out? I need you!! xx

Hi there, don't despair, thats about 10 kgs. Easy to drop if you dedicate yourself for a couple of months. Just eat properly and you'll be fine. And mainly, establish some self control over yourself so you don't slip into old habits
Feel free to add me if you'd like & we can talk about this.0 -
Congratulations on your weight loss last year! And sometimes a whole lotta life gets in the way and adds some weight back. But you know what? It only spirals if you let it. Start trying to replace foods in your cabinet to hinder your snacking to just foods that are low-cal like fruits and veggies. You can do it! There arent many good excuses against it. When your kiddos are napping, do some jumping jacks. Even ten minutes is something like 200 calories burned. You just need a kick in the butt to get back on track--and you can totally do it!0

Hi there Happy Snow
I too lost a few stone and have put 2 back on over the last 2 years. It's so depressing and I completely understand how you feel. I keep looking at old photo's and can't believe what I look like at the moment. Also like you, I eat when I'm bored, and then get in a vicious circle of feeling bored, then eat, then feel depressed and then eat some more. However on a positive note, at least you recognise the trigger for why you eat as you can try to nip the eating urge in the bud when you feel boredom setting in.
I've decided to use MyfitnessPal to kick myself into touch once and for all, and fingers-crossed I'll do it this time. I've already looked at so many before and after pictures of other members which has really helped motivate me, as one day hopefully I'll be posting before and after of me!!!
Feel free to add me and we can try to support each other on this journey xxxx0
