Calorie burn on your most active days?

I'm doing around 400-600 hundred on a really good day. Is that fairly typical?

There really isn't a typical burn across the board. Some here train for marathons, distance cycling events, triathlons, etc ... 600 is nothing for them. Some are barely getting off the couch and walking a little ... 400 net is huge for them at this stage. Look at your net burn in relation to your fitness goals because that is the true comparative value.0

We would have to know how much you weight and what sort of workouts you're doing and for how long before we can say how much is typical.0

I burnt over 5000 one day!!! Although I have to admit that is definitely not typical LOL. That was a charity trek that was around 25 miles and took in three mountains!!! I was super proud though!
400-600 sounds excellent! There is no typical, just find something that you enjoy doing and keep at it. If you are happy to be burning that number then it's perfect for you.0 -
I'm 5'$' and about 132 lbs, trying to get down to 120 (pre baby weight)0

I agree with everyone else that there's no correct answer.
My personal goal is to average 500/day; since I take 1-2 rest days a week, when I might walk for a few miles but nothing more strenuous, that means 600-700 on days I exercise. Usually that's 60-90 minutes of cycling. (Male, 46, 5' 10", 155 lb.)
My biggest burn in the last four years was 4,220 calories (according to my Garmin Edge 800). But that was 111 miles on a bike, with 8,800 feet of climbing, and it took me almost 9 hours.0 -
Ugh probably 1000, but mostly 450-8500

Weight matters, too.
So disappointing to run 4 miles and burn 'only' ~360 cals at 120 lbs. But it is what it is. I'd much rather the lower calorie burns than the excess weight. I suppose if I wanted to, I could wear a weighted vest and run that way.
Yeah. No thanks.
For me, I usually have a 45min heavy lifting session that burns next to nothing and then some form of cardio for 30min to 1hr depending on how much time I have. Typical workout for me: 300-500 cals0 -
Sounds about right for what I burn. Question though, even though the "burn" is less when lifting weights is there an increase in resting metabolism after? Not sure how to measure that but it seems like the weight lifting must have more effect than just the "calories burned"0
