Making a change to MFP

I lost 80 pounds the first year on another popular weight loss program. No bad things to say about it, because lack of performance in year 2 and 3 are entirely on me. But - I felt a change was in order because I still have 40 pounds to lose and have had a really difficult time working up the motivation to stay on the program to lose it. I decided MFP is a good fit because I've found having a mobile app for tracking is really the most vital thing to my success. Oh - and it's free. :-)

I gained 10 pounds during the 2013 holiday season, still haven't taken it off, gained 5 more over this last weekend, due to a party that included too much indulgence,, and simply cannot go into the 2014 holiday season still carrying that plus LAST year's weight gain.

I turned 57 this year. I'm 6 feet tall and all I'm going to admit to is I still need to lose 40 pounds to get into the top weight range for my height. I have been married 30+ years, have 3 adult children and live in Los Angeles. Hobbies, unfortunately, are all sedentary - knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting.

Here's to motivation and success!
