ridiculously achy legs

Hi,

On Saturday I upped the distance I normally run from 2 miles to 4 miles. Today I went to town and spent about 4 hours walking around clothes shopping. Its now evening and I am experiencing a ridiculous amount of pain in my thighs, calves and front of my shins! From a quick Google search it seems to be down to the sudden increase in exercise, but the pain is so weird. Its not DOMS, for sure. Its more of an uncomfortable prickly, tingly ache that makes me want to rub, massage or walk it away, but its not helping. Its horrible!

I'm trying to put a positive spin on the feeling. "Its all my fat cells fizzing away the fat" but man oh man I can barely keep still trying to get rid of this feeling.

Anyone else had this happen to them?

Hey Mesh, I'm glad I'm not alone! Any tips for making the feeling go away by any chance?

Any tips on how to increase my running distances in future?

Tips on the pain first though! :)
