Insanity & gym? & pairing diet

Hey everyone, I'm on week 2 of Insanity. I was looking for some friends and supporters!!! Now that I've done a week of Insanity I feel like I should incorporate some weight training like just going to the gym for lifting 2 times a week or something to augment the program. I love weight lifting and cardio is my weakness. I do want to tone up.

My basic stats 117 lbs, 20% bf, fairly active. I've been sticking to the 1200 calorie rule. Seems like I could eat 1000 cal of pizza and one sitting but give me 1200 worth of healthy food I can barely eat all of it. Any tips? Trying to stay hydrated in this heat to help!
