Okay...I need answers in this whole metabolism thing

I used to eat 800-900 cals a day. I lost 30lbs. I upped it to around 1200. I stayed the same for a few weeks. I started exercising again and ate 1200, but I never ate back exercise calories. I'm not exercising now and I have no clue if I gained or lost (my scale is messed up, it gives me different weights all the time. I stuck to 112, but then it started telling me 109, then 110). I jut realized I've probably gone 3 months on less than 1100 calories a day.
My question is, was that enough to slow my metabolism? My hair never fell out, but my periods have gotten shorter and almost non-existent. Will eating an ACTUAL 1200 cal diet make me gain?

^^This, but I'll go a little further, in case you're wondering "why?"
Your profile says you want to "lose, gain, or whatever in a healthy way"
And here's what's driving you: "I'm terrified of dying early. I want to live a long life, and learn to be proud of myself."
Do you see how negative and self-hating that is? Terrified. And you aren't already proud of yourself. And somehow, your weight and your eating will do that for you. THEY WON'T.
You're already awesome. You're making an effort to BE HEALTHIER. So do two things:
1. Talk with a professional about this negative stuff and figure out how to be kind to your already-great self. You're 19, and if you're gonna have a long healthy life, you'd better quit beating yourself up. No reason to be in an abusive relationship - with yourself, food, exercise, or another person!
2. Read this article. No, seriously read it. And then set up MFP honestly with your info, and eat those calories according to those macros. If you want another variation, use this calculator. http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/

Your weight really doesn't matter. It will change depending on body composition, and doing some exercise, especially weights, is a fantastic idea for a zillion reasons. I won't push weights because you can see that already all over MFP (and for good reason!)...but you should do *something*. Even walking works wonders on both body and brain.
Sure, set goals for size, bodyfat %, that sort of thing - realistically. And the two links I sent you to can help with that.
THAT'S how you improve your wonderful self in a healthy way. Because even though we don't know you, we all want you to have a long healthy life, too.0
