Pain in the right side of my chest.

Okay.. So i am 21 years old. Spent about two years being lazy, eating bad foods, candy and not enough kcal..

A couple months ago i got into this new lifestyle.. And when i started jogging i started getting pains in the right side of my chest. ITs not intense paine like if i fell or hurt myself.. Or if i got a wound or something.. Its more like a stining pain.

On the right side of my chest. To the right on the side of the right nipple. I feels like it could be the heartl.. It really scares me.

It dosent come always.. Yesterday i did a jog for 15 minutes some short uphills/Downhills.. No chest pain.. But a couple times earlier i got the pain.

Also when i had short time to get to the buss the other day.. I got this pain when i started running to reach the buss..

Also i got a slight stining feeling when i walked up a "Sharp" Hill thats quite hard.. I walked really fast as i usually do.. But this time i got this slight stinging.. Not as hard of a stinging as when i got it running to the buss or jogging.

I find this kind of pain weird.. Because i NEVER get this when i am in the gym jogging at 13.0 and 4.0% Incline.. Or when i am lifting weights to the point of fatigue..

I got a doctors appointment tomorrow but really want to go to the gym today.

Anyone experienced this??

You know your heart is in the left side of your chest, right?

Stop exercising and go see a doctor.

I get this too, on the right side of my chest and up to my shoulder. I worried about it until I found out that it's "referred pain" from my diaphragm. Basically, instead of getting a stitch in my side, the phrenic nerve causes pain in my right shoulder. I rarely get it now because I've learned to breathe properly when running.

It might not be that so definitely ask your doctor, but that's what it was with me.

Actually there are people whose hearts are on the right side of their chest. It's called Dextrocardia.

OP: Go to a doctor and get yourself checked out. Not saying it IS but a woman's symptoms of a heart attack are not the same as a mans.

I actually had this when i just started running- it's like small pokes with niddles sort of pain? I had it every time i ran the first month or so - it's gone now. It didn't bother me, because i'm otherwise healthy, i assumed that my body is not used to running . just take it easy, don't forget to breath with your tummy to get more oxygen and def. see a doctor.

One possibility is a pinched nerve from jutting your head forward when you sprint or walk uphill. That would explain why you don't get it on the treadmill at 4% incline. Try keeping your head vertical and chest out, and post your results.

Stay away from the gym until you've seen your doctor tomorrow - it's PROBABLY nothing to worry about but better safe than sorry.

I had pain in my chest once and thought I was probably having a heart attack and dying.

Turns out I had previously undiagnosed asthma.

At your age the odds that you are having a cardiac event are very low. That said, I'd see a doctor IMMEDIATELY. Chest pain is not normal. It's almost certainly going to be muscle related but you should get checked out just to be safe. When people your age have true cardiac issues it's usually from an undiagnosed, congenital, condition. These can be fatal which is why you need checked out. Again, I don't want to scare you. In all likelihood this is muscular/skeletal pain but chest pain ALWAYS warrants a physical examine by a physician.

Do you eat before you run - maybe you just need a rennie?

Go to the doctors anyway, doesn't sound good.

If you're having pain in the heart area you need to visit your Doctor. It might just be you need to lower the intensity a little bit but better safe than dead.
