Hi lucii06 ! I am doing insanity too ! I am on second wk of 1st month! Not being able to follow insanity meal plan as I don't eat fish or chicken and eat very little meat! Would only eat minced now and again!
I am on slimming world though and been eating through their plan which includes a lot of carbs...
I am thinking in buying some whey protein as I am deficit with protein intake !
In other to build lean muscle we need more protein!
If anyone out there knows which protein powder would be best to take let me know pls!0 -

I'm currently in week 1 of month 2, and I haven't been following the diet plan yet. I'm hoping to follow it a little better this month, but we'll see. Food has always been my downfall when it comes to losing weight. From everything I've read, you really need to make sure you're getting plenty of calories in order to see the best results. I know it sounds counter intuitive, but that's the consensus that I've seen so far from people doing Insanity. So oddly, the MFP calorie goals are not what you would need to take in, you would need more. I'm *seriously* overweight, but even without tracking my food or really adjusting much, I still lost weight during month 1. The insanity calories tracker: http://insanitycalories.com/ is what I use to guesstimate the calories I've burned, and it called today's calories as over 1300 burned. Your results will vary, its based on your weight and your intensity level. Hope that helps some!0

I am just starting my second go round with Insanity. First time around I got fantastic results and lost 15 lbs. When starting Insanity I tried to eat as clean as I could and never put more than a 400 calorie burn in for the workout. Now I wear a HRM and realize I burn about 550 to 600 calories for a 45 minute session.
When eating clean I have a hard time getting in more than 1600 to 1800 a day so basically break even when I am doing Insanity. As I went into the 3rd week my weight loss and fitness really started to get accelerate. Hitting my second month of workouts I did not have to follow my diet as hard as it seemed I could eat a lot more and still get results.
Do to a couple of injuries I really fell off the wagon but now I am starting fresh and hope to repeat the initial results.
Good Luck!0 -
hi, I'm starting insanity still on my 3rd day. Hoping to get good results!
Regarding protein shakes my boyfriend encouraged me to take pre-workout shake and Hydro-Protein post workout for recovery, im having diarrhea and its my 2nd day i feel super bloated. Maybe I have lactose intolerance but he said my body is still adjusting. i'm not sure if i want to cntinue this ... although he is saying my body is just adjusting to it.0
