    My friend told me something happened to him but I can't find anything on-line? Say it ain't so....

      Yes :( he died, apparent suicide - very sad for his family..such a sad loss.

      I wish that were true. That would make many of us on MFP either clairvoyant or time travelers (there were a few threads about it last night). Unfortunately it happened yesterday on 8/11

      Depends where you were. I'm in Australia and he was found dead this morning... yesterday in USA but it was this morning here.

      Just because you were asleep when the news broke doesn't change the time of death. I'm pretty sure time of death is noted dependent upon the decedent's location at the time. So he died yesterday morning.

      I'm pretty sure news about Robin Williams' death centers around Robin Williams. I'm also very certain that the time the coroner recorded on his death records was where Robin Williams was at the time he died.... which was Monday morning.

      I don't think that post was directed at you. He edited out a graphic showing the time difference between California and Australia and mentioned the current time in Australia.
