Losing weight but gaining inches???

I just did my weekly measurement check-in and am thrilled I lost 2 pounds this week. I definitely worked for it and happy that I'm a consistent loser in my journey. A few weeks ago, we started tracking measurements. My waist isn't budging and my hips got bigger!!!! I'm hoping this is a measuring error from last week to this week. The top half of me is getting thin though.

I'm exercising 5-6 times per week, managing my diet.

Any tips?

Well, you can't spot reduce fat, so don't be disheartened by not losing any inches in a certain area for a while. It comes down to genetics. As far as hips getting bigger, it's totally possible you measured a different area. I do it all the time.

Biggest tip for longevity and losing body fat is to maintain a moderate deficit and ideally pick up a resistance training program to retain lean body mass as you lose. Weightlifting with a structured routine or if you can't do that , body weight exercises like you are your own gym are helpful. Getting a good amount of protein I'd important, too. Especially if you're active. Here's a good read if you haven't read it yet!
