Gaining Muscle as a Vegetarian

Hello! I'm trying to gain muscle but being vegetarian has led to me missing the more easy protein-rich foods (like chicken). Does anyone have any tips to gaining more muscle on a vegetarian diet?

My ultimate goal is to gain 15lbs of muscle and lower my BMI. My BMI is about a 25 and I would love to see it go down to the teens. I don't mind working out everyday if it'll help me reach that goal. I just can't figure out what to stock my fridge with(like staple items)/what to eat in general!

    Do you eat dairy? If so, Greek yogurt and cottage cheese are good protein sources.

    Whey protein, beans and legumes, cheese sticks, soy products (lots of protein but also lots of salt - be careful_.

    Seitan, tofu, pumpkin/squash seeds, almonds, avocados, spirulina, oats, lentils, all the beans, and my favourite CHICKPEAS <3 Hope this was helpful!

    May suggest the book no meat athlete
    cant remember the author name but has some,great high protein recipies in it .
    all i want to say is buffalo chicken hummus , no chicken of course lol

    I don't think these have been mentioned yet:

    eggs / egg whites
    Quorn
    tempeh
    peas
    nut butters


    And of course protein bars and powders (whey, casein, pea, soya, rice, etc.)
