So, I have been doing the ChaLEAN Extreme program everyday according to her schedule. So that I have been dedicated to. Just I can't seem to get myself to eat within calories or the motivation to log what I eat. I have made some better choices I do believe. Almost, like it cause it is getting cold and I need to hibernate or something. lol.

I guess I am not sure what I am asking for.....motivation? help?

Maybe some sinfully/healthy recipes if such a thing exists?

If you submit recipes I am not a seafood fan. Also, whatever I make I have to be able to somehow get my 4 year old to eat it also.

Me need some help. LOL

Think of calorie logging as something that's not an option - like taking medicine. It's essential to log what you eat in order to truly understand what you're eating - how many calories, how much sodium, are you eating too many carbs/fat, not enough protein, etc. Awareness is KEY to making healthy habits and lifestyle changes, and you can't be fully aware if you don't have the true picture of what you're eating. That's why you need to be logging everything! I'd recommend you try to log ahead of time, and then just go back once or twice during the day to log/change anything that didn't fit your initial plan that was logged. I do this for breakfast, lunch and snacks, but leave dinner to be logged later since it's never predictable in my house.

I'd recommed you check out the recipes section of the forums - there are some really great ideas on there!

Try and log everything! And I do mean everything..even the bad. When you log the bad it helps you realize what can be changed to help with results. It took me awhile to really get addicted to logging and I often didn't log because I was asshamed at what I was eating. It helped me make better choices. Just keep MFP in the back of your mind at all times, it will really help!

I tend to have the same problem. Exercising regularly is no problem, but consistently logging and staying within my calorie range is tough. I don't know how much I can help, but at least you know you are not alone. :)

I do find that planning ahead can help. If I plan out what I'm going to eat first thing in the morning, or even the night before, then I know where I stand. And, for the sake of my sanity, I will let myself take a day or two off logging - usually the weekends when I am running around like a crazy person trying to get things done.

All I can really say is keep trying!

One thing that really helped me was to find a challenge, and join. It kept me dedicated because I felt accountable for what I was eating. Plus, the support in a challenge is fantastic!
  • Planning out my meals everyday in advance has been the biggest help for me, no doubt. But also just thinking about how useless the exercise is if you don't diet correctly. Don't get me wrong, exercise is great. However I realized after my first 2 rounds of P90X, that had I dieted better.. I could of gotten some really crazy results. Granted I did get great results. But not a 100% of what I could have. Sow now during my 3rd round, I'm thinking of the diet as PART OF THE PROGRAM. Its not just an exercise program, is a lifestyle program.

    Maybe that helps?
