Low calorie, protein rich breakfasts?

I have to eat something before I go to my work out. But at the same time it shouldn't be something "heavy" that'll make me sick. I want it to have a good portion of protein, so that I will still feel as if I've eaten breakfast.

The only thing I can think of is half a cup of fat free cottage cheese? (that's 14 grams of protein for 100ish calories)

Has anyone got any ideas for breakfasts between 100-200 calories?

What about an egg white omelet with laughing cow cheese in the middle? Its low calorie, should keep you satisfied, but not too full.

Do you like using whey? I do organic, low sugar whey protein powder with unsweetened almond milk and a few ice cubes. 30g protein approx. Throw in strawberries for more fiber / flavor if you like.

I like this in the morning with 4 TBS greek fat free yogurt and 100g of blueberries in the morning. Yummy and low glycemic index (I have to watch my sugars), but there is lots of nutrients and sugar enough to fuel you. I usually don't get hungry for 4 hours after that and it is probably at your max 200 cal though (depends on how many TBS you use of yogurt). If I skip the greek yogurt, it would definitely be under 200.

P.S. Strawberries are higher in the glycemic index tables. Sorry, forgot to mention, I don't do the powder, but substitute it with the yogurt instead. A few less protein grams, but still good. The powder will kick you up a little over 200 cals.
  • Thanks everyone. I forgot about the whey Lol. Might cook up some chicken breasts as well and just eat one. :)

Dannons light and fit greek yogurt has 130 cals for one cup and 18g protein. One cup is quite a bit of yogurt too, mixed with some blueberries and granola is excellent. You just have to enjoy the taste of greek yogurt :)

oops didn't realize someone basically said the same thing, oh well!
