Part-time vegetarian...?

Good evening yawl! :happy:

So....one day I accidently went a whole day without eating meat and overall I felt pretty darn awesome! I had energy even though I was full, I was regular (tmi?) the whole day and I even slept deeper that night. So now, I'm challenging myself to become a vegetarian...part-time lol
Now, don't get me wrong...I love my used-to-be-living-and-breathing-proteins lol But with my desires to lose 25lbs/5 inches and become healthier overall I can't help but wonder how much better I'd look and feel if I cut back. So, the goal is to ultimately be able to go meatless 3 days out of the week. Once that becomes 2nd nature, I may even go vegetarian during the week and eat meat only during the weekends....?

***FYI: although I admittedly would like to reach my goal weight by my birthday this year (Nov), this isn't something I'm doing temporarily so I can fit into a certain outfit or look good for a specific event. Once my fitness goals are reached, I plan on maintaining them through the lifestyle change I'm currently establishing. So no go-hardcore advice please; I'm still in the crawling stage lol***

That being said, what do y'all think? Is anyone doing something similar or have done it before and yielded results worth mentioning? What kind of vegetarian meals do you all suggest that won't bore me? I'm both a USN Sailor and college student so although I love to cook, I don't have much time at home to do so....any easy recipes you all can suggest? I am open to all feedback, even the negative ones. They only make the postive, well-intentioned folks stand out even more :-) :flowerforyou:

    Going vegetarian 3 days a week won't necessarily make you lose weight easier or healthier even. I'm vegetarian and lots of food is actually vegetarian, chips, cookies, bread, ect...

    And going vegetarian didn't make me lose weight it. I support anyone wanting to consume less meat but I wish it did work as a weightloss diet trust me lol
