I wish that I could go through at least a week sticking to something to motivate me to change me. Has anyone else had this problem?

I used to have this problem when I first got to my very first base I gained up to 210 lbs. but now I have steadily dropped to 180 lbs trying to go for a more defined look now. I tried those in home training videos like insanity and all that, but they were always no good for me. Then I went and found a workout plan and a good steady diet those "specialized" diets never helped me and I always went back to eating unhealthy all the time. Paleo, Atkins, Weight Watchers, etc. none helped you just have to find a good diet that is in a deficit but not too much that you will keel over. To be honest I never even counted calories when I went down to 180 I just had a very good diet and a good workout routine. Everyday I went to the gym and I mean "everyday" 2-3 days of weight lifting+cardio and in between lift days I always did just cardio only 20-25 min on the treadmill, track, elliptical. The only thing I ever drink is water I don't drink soda I haven't drank soda in over a year now I have coffee every now and again though. You need to find someone who is willing to motivate you and support you throughout the whole process have a gym buddy come with you and workout. Just be sure to stay on your diet plan and have a "cheat meal" once a week. You can make it a cheat day only if you actually do intense training at the gym such as HIIT, Crossfit, or an hour of intense cardio.0

You can't just wish it away, unfortunately.
I suggest reading these superior threads to get started though....

I totally had a problem like that when I first lost weight 4 years ago!
What ended up helping me was doing some cardio first thing in the morning (at a gym, I could never convince myself to get up otherwise), then eating a light breakfast. In the beginning, I did not have any non-exercise days for about a month. This was because I didn't have the discipline to make myself go again the next week, so I just never stopped. What ended up motivating me was seeing that number on the scale change.
That was how it started. Now, of course, my goals are different and my approach is different, but I'm still exercising and trying to eat healthy 4 years later!!0 -
you cant just give it a week and give up.
you didnt gain weight in a week, it probably took years of work. why expect the reverse to be true?0 -
Don't give up! You can do this!! One good choice at a time. One good choice follows another... And although the scale might not show the number you wish for immediately, internally your body and organs are thanking you! You are not alone in this!!!0
