Things ive noticed since adopting a healthy lifestyle

Reduction in migraines -

I used to have one every week, it was so bad I had scans and everything. Nothing would touch it, I got the with aura which ment I couldn't see properly when I had one. Since adopting a healthy lifestyle ive had 3 headaches in 6 months they wern't migraines and i have had no auras.

Reduction in back pain -

I have double major scoliosis, that means my spine bends to the left up top and to the right down the bottom when it should be straight and my neck is straight when it should have a curve in it. I used ot wake up every morning in pain, I even bought an expensive mattress and pillow to help and whilst it did help a little every morning i felt stiff and in pain. Now i'd say I get back pain once a month if that and it never lasts as long as it did. I am also standing up straighter too.

Nails -

My nails have always been brittle and they never grow, well that is they never grew. My nails grow now and they are strong and healthy no more white patches on my nails, though i still have a bad habit of chewing them when im concentrating on something.

Hair -

My hair used to fall out in clumps in fact last year I was holding back the tears at the chemist explaining a bald patch appearing at my hair line due to dermatitis on my scalp. The dermatitis is gone moo goo didn't help it was diet and exercise. My hair is strong and healthy, and it seems to grow faster.

Skin -

My skin looks about 10 years younger than it did, its tighter and radiant.

Eyes -

My eyes are brighter and I no longer have those tension headaches either that you get behind the eyes.

Clothes -

I was an Australian 14-16 when I started now a 8-10. I love shopping again, I spent many summers in baggy t shirts and shorts now i can wear a bikini again.

Confidence -

I feel I am my proper self again and it shows. If you look after your body it will look after you.

Clear mind -

I used to wake up in the morning feeling like a train ran over my face or that someone had hit me with a frying pan in the night. I was always foggy and felt horrible. It would take me 3 hours after waking to feel normal and I hated mornings. Now and this is weird for me i am a morning person, I love getting up early and getting all my stuff done, I am way more productive than I have ever been and I wake up feeling happy and my mind is totally clear.

IBS -

I have ibs and that hasn't changed but the symptoms have reduced significantly.

So guys and girls just don't concentrate on the numbers on the scale, yes its great to loose weight to look better in clothes but its better to feel amazing in your own skin from the inside so when you wear those lovely clothes your radiant. Don't give up on your plan stick to it the benefits greatly outweigh the hardships to get there.

So what is your NSV, feel free to share below.

You are right about the nails, my nails are much better. Also, I don't have to unbutton my pants on the way home from a restaurant any more. My self confidence is so much better. I make sure I am treated well or I am out of there and I use to let people walk over me.

I also use to be sick a lot, always flus, sinus infections. I am rarely sick now, haven't been sick since last Thanksgiving. I use to get something every couple of months.

I can keep up with the 20-30 year olds in my ripped class. I am 61. I use to be out of breath all the time.

I use to hate shopping, now I hardly ever find anything that I cant wear. And best yet, there is nothing too small in my closet, what a great feeling! I use to have stretchy waist shorts, only thing I could fit into. No stretchy waist stuff for me any more.

I've noticed many of those already as well....better skin, nails and hair, more energy, less back (and foot) pain, more energy, etc. it's nice :)

You are speaking to the choir here. After a lifetime of suffering from migraines and major seasonal allergies, my adoption of a healthier lifestyle, particularly from the nutrition side (much more fruits and veggies, especially greens) has resulted in a complete decimation of all my allergies. I can breathe again!

    I have ~95% fewer migraines
I have back pain or the feeling of something "pulled" very rarely now - and when it happens, it lasts less than a day instead of 4-5 days like before
I fit into everything well...clothes, chairs, booths, rides, everything
Have gone from size 22/24 and 3X to 10/12 and L
My periods are several days closer together (unfortunately), but they are also much lighter and my cramps are less intense
    No more swollen ankles/feet ever
No weird puffy eye/cheek thing happening now and then (thanks to reduced sodium probably)
Seasonal allergies no longer an issue

While it sounds trivial, one of my favorite changes is that I no longer fidget constantly w/ my clothes or have to adjust everything to hide fat rolls every 15 min, and walking in front of a mirror is interesting instead of panic-inducing

Well done guys! See the weight on the scales isnt the most important thing its all the other benefits that matter. I hear ya about the heart burn i used to have mylanta and ant acid chews on hand at all times and now i barely need them at all, its now only when i eat spicy foods. It was every meal.
