High Heart a Rate/Excessive Sweating

Hey everyone. I am looking for some advice as I don't feel I am getting correct info from doctors. Long story short, I have been sick for 3 weeks with a terrible cough. Would get into coughing fits and would have difficulty catching my breath. It was definitely worse while exercising. I finally went to my doctor and they diagnosed it as symptoms of asthma. I was given an inhaler and a steroid. Cough didn't get better but finally went away after another week. Since this has happened I find myself sweating more than normal, waking up in the middle of the night sweating, especially on the back of my neck.
Back to original topic, tonight while attempting to do my Turbo Fire workout I really struggled. My heart rate, according to my HRM, was very high during the warm up, which it usually is not that high. It was very high during the entire workout and again I was sweating way more than normal. I exercise about 6 days a week so I am not out of shape but since this sickness I have really been struggling. Does anyone know what would cause my heart rate to be so high and the excessive sweating?? Any help is appreciated.

I'm not a doctor, but I would go in and get a proper cardiac examination. You are completely describing what I experienced and ignored just before getting a major heart attack. I was diagnosed with the asthma and given the steroid inhaler too. I was not in bad shape. In fact, I was in pretty great shape and visiting the gym regularly and then wound up having my heart attack IN the gym while on a rower! Be cautious and be safe.
