Hi I'm new and need a bit of encouragement!

Hi I'm 18 and I'm new to MFP, I am 'normal' weight according to my BMI but I'm looking to lose about 10 pounds which I seem to have put on without even realising! I seem to carry most of the excess fat in my back and thighs and it's the back fat which is really getting me down. I have a really low tdee because I am 4ft 11 and relatively active (my TDEE is 1540?!) so if I was to cut out 500 calories a day I would be below 1200 which I don't want. I have always eaten quite healthily compared to my friends (except for weekends) but I have improved my diet with the help of the calorie counter and I have started running 5 x a week for 30 mins. I am just feeling like the weight isn't going to come off so I just need a bit of motivation! Thank you

If you Use more energy than you eat .. you WILL lose weight, so don't worry about that.

The trick is finding the right balance of diet and exercise that is good for you to meet YOUR goals in a safe, realistic way.

If you have a 'normal bmi are you sure that losing 10lbs is a good, safe, realistic goal?

U could always try the body shock way and up your cals a little only like 300 cals .. Your body gets used to what u eat and works from that !! Obviously u will lose weight cutting dine and working hard but just a matter if time b4 it stops
Keep up the great work eat clean and I'd up a little just for a few weeks kick start the body again ... Could always try cardio weights stuff as well always a good 1
