Ok I did it again. I have not eaten all day. I get so busy and I just don't eat. This is one of the reasons i stay overweight. Never really understood that until the last time I was on a diet and lost 40 pounds. I ate every three to four hours little meals and lost what I wanted to at that point. So dang it....I have been doing so good. Anyway I know tomorrow I will start back in on my routine but i let my hectic life get the best of me again. See part of my promise to myself was to concentrate on me with out guilt. I am having trouble taking time out for me. Then I become resentful and that is when I am prone to failure.

I get to be the same way. Because I have a desk job and my work is time sensitive so I'm always aware of the hours passing, I have set up my food diary for sections with every three hours and start putting my projected meals at the beginning of the day. It helps me to stay more conscious of it. And I carry around little meal bars (Slim-Fast works for me) in my purse in case I remember while on the run. You're aware of it, and that will help solve the problem. The great thing about dieting or eating healthy is every day is a new day. So start fresh tomorrow!0

I see you have my genes somewhere too. I do the same and it never dawns on me until I have a splitting headache and go oh *kitten*, I didn't eat anything. I can still do it and I have to remind myself to eat, up to and including setting my kitchen timer so I don't go more than two hours w/o thinking about eating. Fun, fun.0

So you guys understand that eating is such a constant battle. If i am struggling with overeating the wrong foods or not eating at all i sometimes feel like it controls my life. I get so jealous of those people who have these great eating habits that they don't have to think about it all day long. they just do it. It is like me and my cigs i can't even answer my phone with out screaming where are my cigarettes!! I think I am a mess0

Oh yeah, I get the constant battle of eating, especially with two actively growing boys who want to eat constantly and a husband that can eat all damn day long and never, and I mean never gain an ounce. His body fat % is 8% and he is 41. Go figure!!0

I have the same problem. I'm usually on the road all day with my job, and there were times when I was so busy that I forgot to eat ( hard to beleive). What I did was buy a bunch of Luna Bars to keep in the car. I'll eat those for breakfast and lunch....better than going thru a drivethru.0

Well, stop that:laugh:  you deserve to treat your body the way it is supposed to be treated  Eat, girl0 -
Is it possible to pack a snack or easy meal (nuts, fruit, yogurt, low fat cheese, slices of turkey) to have with you? This way you can just grab something even if you are busy. I even set an alarm (phone) to go off every 3-4 hours to remind me to eat. If you make up a bunch of bags before hand it will be easy to grab on your way out in the norning.
I too had this problem I would literally go ALL DAY without anything but black coffee. I didn't feel hungry I guess my body was "shutting down". I would get home and eat EVERYTHING in sight and then go to sleep!!!0 -
I have had the same problem as well. one thing that has worked very well for me is Sunday is my Shop and Chop day! I buy all my fruit and veggies, wash them and chop them all up that way it is super easy to throw them in a baggie or tuperware for the days during the week. Snacking on Cucumbers, Peppers, Strawberries, Grapes, Carrots, apples and peanut butter(they sell pre-made up Peanut butter packets now!), tomatoes with olive oil an dcottage cheese.... whatever you like it is really easy and good for you too! Yougurt is easy for a quick snack too, just buy some plastic silverware that way it is even easier to just throw it away! Also put some 90 calorie packs at your desk quick and easy that is the secret for a busy day! A handful of almonds is good to have at your desk too just grab a handful before a meeting....
Hope that helps :)It has made a huge difference for me!0
