Well , I don't know if you are like me and like a song on the radio and forget the name when you try to download it or something. Well, what I started to do is listen to Pandora on my computer at work and when there is a song I like I write down the name of the song and artist. Gives you new music too!
Just an idea.

There's an app for Android (probably an equivalent for iPhone) called Shazaam that tells you the name/artist of the song you're listening to. I use this all the time in the car when I hear a song I like on the radio. Then I can download it later.0

Pandora is great ... boo hoo ... they blocked it at work last spring. But I find my teenagers have some amazingly good music. I don't listen to music when I run, but I create a drum jam session in my head to keep my tempo up and steady. Or, I do math in my head, as in: if I run at an eight-thirty pace, how many miles per hour is that? For swimming, I'm lucky to keep track of my laps. For biking, I just let my mind wander.0
