"Sedentary"?

Wondering if I entered my information in correctly. Even though I work out 4-6 days a week (60-90 minutes) I put myself down as sedentary since I'm a lawyer and basically sit at a desk all day.
I think this is right- but just checking. I know MFP used that description to give me my goals and such so want to make sure I did it right! I don't have a ton of weight to lose- about 20 lbs- and I feel like my body is going to hold on to the fat for dear life. My priority is to lose weight healthfully so I try to eat well and eat back my exercise calories on days I work out. I've only been on here about 3 weeks now...

I am a computer programmer with a similar exercise routine and my weight didn't start going down until I qualified myself as "sedentary". Good luck!0

I agree, sedentary if you work in an office but try and get up to the printer as often as possible, give your assistant some time off, I do, lol!
Be sure to add in your exercises. If I don't MFP only lets me eat 1200 calories and at 5'8.5 I know I don't have to stick to such minimal numbers, I eat 1400 daily.0 -
I do the same thing as binary_jester. I put mine to sedentary, since I work at a desk and sit on my rump 8 hours a day. Then I count everything in excess of that as exercise (within reason). So if I spend all day on my feet cooking or cleaning, I track that just as I would an hour workout at the gym.0

Okay sounds like I am on the right track. Thanks everyone!0
