Goals and Rewards (What should they be?)

Hey everyone!

I hope that the beginning of December is treating everyone well :) Okay, I would like some help, any ideas are greatly appreciated. I am trying to come up with a new set of goals, and actual rewards I can give myself when I meet them. I feel like I have been kind of slacking off on the rewards I had originally planned to give myself for reaching milestones, but I really want to celebrate my accomplishments so I have those moments to remember when I don't feel like exercising or dieting.

My goal for this month is to get under 200 pounds! I am working out more each day, and planning my food a day ahead each day to make sure I get enough protein and fiber. When I reach my goal (even if it isn't by the end of the month) I really want something great to reward myself with, but I just can't think of anything that doesn't involve a ton of money or food (and I refuse to do food rewards).

Also, you may see that I have a goal of being able to run a half mile by Christmas, and I really think I'll make it. What should my reward for reaching that be?

Thanks to everyone who shares rewards they have given themselves and other ideas :)

What about a new pair of running shoes once you meet your goal of a half mile? That way it will keep you motivated to continue adding on to the 1/2 mile! :)

Hmm....some of my rewards consisted of a movie date with my best friend, buying a new book I really want to read, putting "x" amount of dollars into a jar towards a larger reward, a new pair of shoes. It can be anything really that you wouldn't normally do for yourself but is within your spending limits. The goal obviously is to want it bad enough to strive for it! That's how I do mine at least.

Well, (if you're not already familiar with these) the reward for running the 1/2 mile should be a new pair of Thorlo socks. This brand is absolutely the best I've ever worn. If you've never tried a pair of their athletic socks-- you must. You can get them at most of the big sporting goods stores.
    You're feet will thank you.

Well, since having my daughter 14 months ago I have given up alot of the little things I used to do to make me feel good.
I decided to reward myself with those things so my bank account doesn't get skinny with me
I decided on rewards such as, pedicures, manicures, new pair of jeans..small things like that.

    Good Luck!!

My original goal was to lose 80lbs in 8lb increments. Each time I lost 8lbs, I was 10% closer to my goal. This broke up my weight loss into easy to manage bites AND gave me a reason to celebrate every 8lbs.

I would reweard myself with non-food items that were totally not practical: manicures, a trip to Sephora for cute new make up, cute shoes, handbags...

When I reached my original goal of 80lbs lost, I bought myself a FIERCE Dooney and Burke handbag. It's totally impractical and completely beautiful and I was HONORED to carry it knowing how hard I'd worked for it.

    YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Thanks for all the input yall!

After looking at all the things that have been said, it seems that I will probably choose a few rewards that aren't very practical. I guess that only rewarding myself with things that I really need and was going to have to get anyway doesn't seem like much of a reward, huh?

I'll figure out exactly what that all looks like, but it's great to get input.

Oh and lina1181 - I do like those rewards best of all. Maybe my last reward will be something to show off those two lovely items?
