New To Fitness Pal, Post-College Gain

Hello! My name is Matthew and I'm new here, saw the App on my Droid and decided to go for it. While I dropped weight when I entered college I left just a little over my target weight, only ten pounds but it was a mindful ten pounds. Since I've started working I've slowly started putting on weight and am now 15-20 pounds over my ideal weight of 150-155. I started running long distances in college, half-marathons and marathons, both as a good form of exercise and because I enjoy it, but haven't watched my diet well enough that the running pays dividends. I also play tennis at least once a week and hit the rock climbing gym once or twice a week, given how active I am you can imagine how poor my diet must be. I've decided to change that now by tracking my meals and eating more conscientiously. From what little I've seen of Fitness Pal so far I'm glad to have joined such a vibrant community and I hope to be able to give back in what little way I can.

welcome! I love it here, helpful, support, motivation, and keeps me accountable- accountability seems to be helping quite a bit here. logging everything I eat has been a real eye-opener. good luck on your journey!0

The same thing happened to me when I graduated from college. I think I gained about 15 pounds when I started my job. I started losing the weight before I found this site but this honestly keeps me in check. I am addicted to the site and love to log on and see how everyone is doing. It is very motivational, especially since I work in an office. I need to have something to go to and keep me in check!
