Starting over...

I am new to this website and I feel like I am once again starting this journey all over again. I have always had more success when I was part of a group, which is why I wanted to get on this website! I have done Farrell's, if anyone is familiar, but I just couldn't keep up with the costs of being a member there. Since I stopped Farrell's I have gained back everything I lost, and I'm reallly just looking for a fresh start.
I generally don't have an issue eating healthy, it is consistency I struggle with. I am a college student, working full time and planning a wedding, and I have a hard time telling myself "no" when I want to take the easy route. In other words, I have been making up a lot of excuses. If anyone has tips advice or whatever, I would love to hear it!

Hi! Welcome. New-ish here too. I am starting Farrell's on Saturday! SO nervous! Did you like it? I wouldnt have been able to afford it normally either, but I won it in a contest! Since I found out, I have been trying to lose as much on my own down over 20 pounds since May! You can do it! I went back to being vegetarian and cutting out milk, saves money and really helps the jumpstart to losing. Congrats on the wedding planning! Fun and stress, but worth it in the end!0

I joined this site earlier this year and was doing moderately okay, I had lost 4 pounds and 4 inches until June when I fell off the bandwagon and just couldn't find the motivation to get back on! But today I vowed to get back on track (now I'm even heavier than I was BEFORE joining MFP, so I am extremely disappointed that all my hard work and effort was for nothing. I can't believe how quickly the weight and inches came back on! It's only been 2 months! But I'm back and ready to fight for this and I'm so glad to see your post. If you'd like to add me as a friend, maybe we can help each other out.0

Motivation is great - but it fades. Inspiration helps - but it's fleeting. Support is awesome - but no one is there at 2am when you want to eat over your calories.
So what works?
* Habits. Habits with your eating and habits with your training. It's just doing what you need to do day in and day out - until it just is what you do.
* Drive - the true desire to lose weight. Not the words, the desire. The deep desire that makes you keep going when your scale it telling you you're stuck on the same weight. If you truly want it - you will make it happen.
*Patience - according to your ticker you want to lose around 70 pounds. It took me a little over 2 years to lose 100. Are you ready for that kind of dedication to your health? If you are, you're going to be successful.
* A Sustainable Plan - Read the link below and develop a plan using this information that works for you. Calorie deficit is all that is needed to lose weight, but you want to maintain your health, too. This link will help you.
Best of luck! :flowerforyou:

I started Farrell's in July after I hit a 2 month plateau. Just finished week 5. It seems to be doing the job. Good luck with it.0
