I was just diagnosed with severe asthma and have spent the last week in bed on 5 different meds. my cough is *almost* gone, and i'm ready to start exercising but a little nervous about my breathing. does anyone have experience with an asthma diagnosis? what types of exercises do you do? how slowly should I start? I live in Texas, it's very humid and hot outside, so not sure where to start. thanks for any input.

Yikes! I hope you're feeling better!

I have activity induced asthma--I have an inhaler for when the symptoms start up. However, mine's not severe, so I don't have to worry to much about it.

Since yours is severe, TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR! (S)he'll give you recommendations on what kinds of activities are okay for you. :flowerforyou:
