Weight Gain

Can anyone tell me why i gained weight, i followed my calories and sometimes a little bit over. I never workout but i do pushup reps every Mon. Wed. Frid. I checked my weight today and now it says i gained 3 pounds. Very disappointing

    its probably muscle gain in your shoulders, chest and arms

    Losing weight is a balance between eating healthy and exercising. In order to really lose weight you need to put in the effort to exercise. And it also depends on what you are eating. Calories matter, but so does other parts of the food you eat, such as fat and sugars.

    Weight fluctuations are caused by many things. Most common is water retention. Did you have too much sodium? Not drink enough water? (Drinking lots of water actually reduces water retention.) For women, if they're getting their period soon?

    Also, how often do you weigh yourself?

    There are so many reasons why you could have gained...sodium, not staying with in your calorie budget, muscle soreness (water retention), hormones, regularity, what time of day you weighed, etc. Weight loss is in no way a linear thing btw :)
