Not losing weight but looking leaner?

Hey all,

Just wondered if someone could shed some light on this for me? According to the scales over the past 2 - 3 months I have only lost about 7lbs yet when I look at myself in the mirror my muscles are more defined, I am down roughly 2 Jean sizes on my waist, im faster and stronger than ever and everyone is telling me I look thinner but bigger (work that out).

Why is it im still in the high numbers for my actual weight if I can see my body changing slowly physically? Is new muscle keeping my weight higher than it would be if I was just losing fat?

Thanks! hope everyone Is having a great day!

Congratulations! Lost inches is the ultimate victory. While you're building muscle, you're retaining more water, thus the lack of number changing. Who cares, throw that scale away! Two pant sizes is awesome!

Grab that measuring tape and start tracking measurements - much better than the scale.

I dropped a full size while not losing a single pound in scale weight.

Me too. I lost two pants sizes without losing any weight. I've started taking measurements and I'm definitely losing inches. Love it.
