Sugar Levels & Slimming World

Hello - quick background about me

I've been doing slimming world for about 16 months. I lost 36 lbs in 10 months, but since then have fluctuated around the same weight. After a few holidays this summer I've gained about 6lbs from best weight, and now have BMI of 24.5 (top end of healthy). I'm 26, 5"2 and would like to lose about 14lbs from where I am, to get to what I think would be a good weight - I'm currently a bit squishy round the edges. I also exercise for an hour 3-5 times a week.

I've decided to pay more attention to the macro nutrients and calories I'm eating, because my weight loss has plateaued so much. It's instantly obvious that I eat far more sugar than MFP recommends, but I'm really struggling to get my head around it - particularly cutting out fruit & fat free yoghurts - when it used to be quite effective.

In an average SW day I might eat two yoghurts, a couple of alpen light bars, 6-8 pieces of fruit, salad and meat/tuna for lunch, a small bar of chocolate (freddo or similar), and various meals for dinner all served with lots of veg. This is coming in at about 80g of sugar, which is waayy higher than the 25g MFP is recommending. However most of this is not added sugar, it's natural and MFP doesn't separate this out. Conversely, my fat and carbohydrates are normally pretty low.

Has anyone else tried to follow the SW plan and looked at their nutrients? I want to lower my sugar but I am now struggling to think of low calorie ways to snack!!

Thanks,

Laura
