My first ever Half Marathon is in a month!!!!!

I'm kind of freaking out already! I mean, I feel good about it. I know I've got the pace - I've got almost a 5-minute cushion on the required pace. I know I can go the distance - even if I have to walk part of it. I've done walks that go farther before. My training is solid, and my performance in races has been consistent, even with a change of terrain (ran a very hilly, bitterly cold 10K in roughly the same time as a flat course on a warmer day a few months ago (also had a bathroom break on this one), so that translates VERY well (per my running club's coach).

It's just the OMG this is SOOOOOOO close now!!!!!

Just wanted to share!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks ladies!! :) I'll definitely keep you posted! (I think I've linked to my training blog on my page if you're interested.)

It's hard to believe this time last year I wasn't doing ANYTHING that I'm doing now. Today has been a "rest day" (no exercise) for me, and it drives me crazy when I have them. I know they're good for me though - they let my body rest, repair and recuperate. The me of a year ago would have had to argue with herself to get up and do anything.

It's CRAZY! In a good way, but still!!
