Yes indeed.
About sword thrusts through the collar bone, Troy has a few good ones. And the boys are nice to look at too...0 -
Same exercises I do during the rest of the month, nothing changes.

Nothing changes for me at TOM. Why shoulld it? If I cant workout during it then I may as well give up. I dont put my life on hold for it. It wouold be like not going to work while having it.
Take a painkiller and keep going. Your not going to die.0 -
To address one of the commenters and her concerns about possible health problems, I found it necessary to do an in depth inquiry.
Using MayoClinic.Org and their Symptom Checker system, I was able to get some insight.
For the following symptoms: Abdominal pain and cramps, nausea, abdominal swelling, gas, weight change
Symptoms improved by: Eating certain foods
I was able to narrow the root cause to a few possible options:
Appendicitis, cholecysitis, crohn's disease, celiac disease, diverticulitis, lactose intolerance and colon cancer.
This leads to an interesting question that deserves further review:
What if women don't have any menstrual pain at all, they are all just lactose intolerant with celiac's?
You can have my dairy when you pry it from my cold dead hands.
Seems a little violent but if it's salted caramel ice cream I'd be tempted
Me? Violent ?!?!?!?!
*ducks*
Honestly, just because a lady prefers 300 over magic mike...
So you like your homerotic movies in slow motion?
Fyi, all the gay clubs in South Florida play 300 nonstop. At least now there is a sequel so they can mix it up.
Actually I like sword thrusts through the collar bone , I may have *really* enjoyed reading The Iliad in highschool.
I may have to stop talking to you. The 300 is one of the worst movies..
LOL, tell my mother the methodist preacher that, she specifically requested it for christmas. I'm thinking you're watching it for all the wrong reasons.
As for Troy, as a long time fan of The Iliad, the movie has a tendency to annoy me. That and I don't care much for Brad Pitt even if he does make a very good Achilles...0 -

I would like to accept this award in honor of all those who helped me get here.
This is for the girls who want thigh gaps, the people on cabbage soup diets, the couples seeking free guidance counseling in the forums and the many neglected children who were never taught basic human biology. This award symbolizes their inability to Google search effectively and my acceptance of their flaws. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.0 -

Lmao!!! Congratulations EmpireBusiness! :-D ♡0 -
Whenever I had cramps I would HATE going to practice. However I've actually only ever had one time when while working out I could feel them. In fact, I don't know if its the endorphins or what, working out makes my cramps feel better!
Granted this applies to running and upright activities like the elliptical. I would avoid doing any floor work, if for no other reason than piece of mind. Power through, I know it sucks!0 -

LOL, my favorite is Crime and Punishment, but we didn't hit that until my senior year and The Iliad was freshman year, so it had top billing for quite a while.0 -

You all sicken me. I hate novels. A book should only be facts and or theory. Reading for entertainment is reprehensible.0 -

She didn't say hello back.
Damn youngsters don't got no respect for their lecherous elders. Why back when I was a kid, we were taught to return all advances by older men. It was called being polite. The youth of today lack the decency of my generation. Maybe it's because I came from the original home internet generation. The one that learned the hard way. The one that didn't know the hot barely 18 model online was actually a 54 year old male who worked in a meat packing plant and spent weekends monitoring playgrounds from an unmarked van. When Britney Spears sent an IM, we actually thought it was Britney. Because of those ordeals, we learned respect. Everyone today just knows that the stranger on the internet actually does want to cook them into a meat pie. This awareness creates hostility towards everyone and innocent honest to goodness lecherous people get caught in the middle. We are the victims here.
If anyone would like to donate to my charity, Dirty Old Men Online, feel free to contact me. You can be a part of the solution. For $1250/month, you can sponsor 1 man in a studio apartment and enable him to use the internet for over 400 hours a month. One hour can impact up to 120 online users. Your gift will know no bounds. Thank you.
and to stay on topic: we here at DOMO recommend strip aerobics during the TOM. Research has shown strippers make more money on TOM because men find them more attractive without understanding why. Might as well capitalize on it.0 -
I don't have any problems with exercise while on my period. Today, I did Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and tonight I'm doing 2 hours of pole classes.0
-
Don't change a thing, it's no big deal! Take couple pain killers if that bad but otherwise do as normal.0
-
I go for longer, slow paced walks with my dog, and also do some very light yoga. I find both help with my cramps without over-exerting.0
-
My periods make me anaemic, so I do very short walks and tell myself (while I'm walking) that I am massaging my belly to make the pain go away. I also prepare my days meals in advance so i don't dial a pizza in bed. Good luck and you'll figure out what's right for you as you go along0
-
I don't workout the first 2-3 days cuz I just feel ugh  and with the food I just stick to the calorie goal. I just get back on track after those days. I consider those 2,3 days my rest days. :drinker:0

Note: When a woman posts a question directed to other women ("time of the month...LADIES what exercises should I do?"), Men, you might want to stay out of the conversation. That is all.
Note, when posting in a public forum you are posting in a public forum. Besides, it seems that a good number of men here seem to understand biology better than some of the ladies. Knowledge is funny like that, it doesn't seem to divide among gender lines.
I should have clarified I was referring to the men who weren't adding anything helpful to the conversation and were just being. . .men.0 -

That message is what mfp calls flame baiting. You made a condescending accusation that all males by definition are of no help whatsoever. You are trying to instigate unpleasant responses for your own misguided interests. I find it both sad and against the forum guidelines. Us "men" have been trying to be helpful and supportive. Sometimes we just use our charming nature to break tension. Those charming and endearing posts aren't frivolous. They provide a necessary balance to keep constructive conversation going. Your hijacking and harsh words break my heart, but I want you to know that it's okay.
I forgive you.0 -
This period I have:
Scuba dived with seals *AND* gone swimming, as well as everything else I do on a normal day to day basis.
Those who stop during the first few days/whole of their period... do you still go to work? My theory is if I'm well enough to go to work I'm well enough to do something in the form of exercise.0 -
I just do whatever I do when TOM is not here. I don't use TOM as an excuse to eat more/do less0
-
Pilates and Yoga...ur already burning calories in ur present state so tone down on intensive workouts and do deep muscle work. Good luck!0
