From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I know there are awesome, godly men out there because my dad is one of them.
He has always been there for me, even if I didn't want to hear what he had to say-
he's been my rock throughout the years, through all of my relationships, good or bad, the one constant is that at the end of it all, my dad's going to be there to hold me while I cry, and to help me pick up the pieces of my heart and put them back together. So to all the fathers-

you are appreciated. thank you for all that you do

    You go, Girl. And I think you will be extra careful to pick a good husband.

    I did, and through the rough times, which every marriage has, I have an awesome husband. He has never gone out drinking with the guys, not once. He picks good friends for himself. He encourages my friendships, because he knows he cannot possibly be everything to me. I've never seen him drunk, not even while dating. He is totally dedicated to God, me and his children. And we love him and are dedicated to him as well. It's not a fairytale, there have been bumps in the road (mostly from me) but he has weathered them with understanding. He goes off, now and then, and gets uptight and yells sometimes, but no one is perfect.

    I want to be a Dad so badly. It's one of my lifes dreams. I know in my heart I am going to be the best Dad ever.

    Thanks for recognizing all the great Dads out there Manda. As I was telling a particularly cute friend of mine the other night, every man can be a 'father', not all of them are actually 'Dads'.

    I am blessed with a 'Dad'. We have fought and fussed most of my life. He held me to an extremely high standard, and didn't let me get away with anything. When I messed up, I knew it. Before I made a bad choice, I thought of the consequences of Dad finding out (he always did)... More than once I would try to sneak in, to find him sitting in his underwear in his recliner reading his sunday school lesson or a hunting magazine, waiting up for his eldest son, a look of disappointment on his face. That was always the worst punishment. All the whuppings (I got more than one and less than five...hundred) were nothing compared to the look of disappointment on Dads face. It would crush me. God I love him.

    He's my best friend. I don't know what I would do without my Dad. I would be lost without him.

    I can't wait to be a Dad. If I can be even half the man my Dad has been to me, then I will be the best Dad ever...well....second best Dad ever.

    My husband is a wonderful, caring, supportive and generous man....thanks for bringing me back down to say this "out loud" after a morning of being angry with him for not helping with cleaning .... his only flaw in our relationship--- :smile:

    I've had mine for almost 20 years- I just hope my sons treat their future ladies and children like mine treats me and ours- (holding my doubts in tight on the 16yo:ohwell: ) We had 3 kids in 40 months- the middle one is autistic- we joke that the first one to leave has to take the kids- neither one of us is willing to try! In the beginning it was because it was better 3 to 2 ratio- nowadays it is because it takes two of use to feed and clothe them- size 15 shoes!!!:noway:

    :heart: :love: my Great Hubby:love::heart:
