Nutritional values of foods in myfitnesspal’s database?

So I was thinking that in order to control your calorie you need to know which foods to eat and which not to. Rather than spending hours in the supermarket, is it possible to view the nutritional values (probably in table format) of certain foods?
An prime example is. I want to be able to view the nutritional values of cereals in which myfitnesspal holds?

This is incorrect, if you eat flexibly IIFYM style, all food is fair game. To limit your options would be restrictive and counterproductive to your progress.
On nutritional values, sure you can look up some nutritional info online in PDF/Excel formats depending on where and what you're looking for if it makes it easier for you. Personally, I have no problem looking at the label in the supermarket and a lot of my purchases are staple foods I eat anyway.
If you like something, buy it ...and work it into your macros. Nothing should be off-limits.0 -
Start with some common sense and it shouldn't take you hours in the supermarket. Shop the perimeter of the store - fresh fruits and veggies, lean meats, etc. As far as cereal - if it has a cartoon on the box you can probably skip over that one. Look for ones that will be high in fiber and low on sugar. Start with those labels and you've eliminated 90% of the cereal aisle already.0
