Congratulations on your loss, thats fantastic! you're just at the beginning of your journey, use the picture as motivation. You've got this!

Congrats on losing a stone! That's a lot of weight. Sometimes it takes a while to notice a difference in our appearance, especially since we're our own worst critics. Keep doing what you're doing and that pic will be a distant memory. :)

chances are you looked bigger to yourself than to others. most of us see ourselves as bigger than we are...

Thanks guys! I saw it and was like oh god!!! That's bad! But I'm going to move past it and definitely going to use that picture as a "don't want to look like this again...." Before photo!!!
  • I'm 5'4" and 122.5 lbs and when I look in the mirror I think I look huge lol I was obese or overweight my whole life (230 lbs heaviest) until I started working out in 2009 when I was 31 years old and I have made peace that I will always have "fat days" and just use the numbers of the scale instead of what I look like to myself to make sure I'm at a healthy weight.

I really really hate when people post pictures of me on FB! I've had to detag myself out of a bunch of them...

I hate that! Same thing has happened to me. Congrats on your weight loss and let the picture be a motivator! Some of the pictures of myself that I've untagged myself from I use as motivators to never look like that again.

For me, once I started losing weight was when I was first honest with myself. I suddenly realized how chubby I was, because it was ok, I knew it was possible for me to lose it. So anything before that for me would have been denial "Oh, I don't look that bad, I'm still pretty!" but once I started losing, it's "wow, that's me?". So, it could be a good thing!

lol I get this a lot still. My most recent was after I finished a swim across a lake, my mil was filming the ending. When I got out of the water, I did not look like I had lost 70lbs in weight!

I just appreciate the photos, consider them to be "progress" pics regardless, because I still have a ways to go anyway.
