Meal Plan Budget Suggestions

Anyone know a good meal plan for a person on a tight budget? Looking to spend around $20 to $30 at most a week. Goals would be to lose body fat and gain muscle. Thanks! :laugh:

    Is that $20-$30 for 1 person? Also depends on what you like to eat.

    That's tight but possible, the best thing would probably be to stick to basics:
    Eggs
    Egg whites
    In season fruits/ vegetables
    Plain yogurt in the large tub
    Ground chicken or cheaper lean cuts of meat like chicken thighs
    Frozen fruits and vegetables
    Skim milk or almond milk
    Beans
    Protein powder
    Old fashioned Oats
    Brown rice
    Turkey bacon
    Cheese
    Peanut butter

    I eat a lot of the same foods over again like:

    Breakfast ( any one)
    Oatmeal
    Eggs
    Apple and banana and peanut butter
    Yogurt
    Smoothie

    Lunch
    Leftovers
    Smoothie
    Sandwich
    Eggs

    Dinner
    Chicken with frozen veggies
    Ground chicken tacos
    Ground chicken chili
    Protein shake
    Homemade soup
    Turkey bacon blt

    Snacks
    Any of my breakfast options
    Hardboiled eggs
    Protein bars ( not cheap but you can make homemade ones for less)
    Cheese sticks
    Baby carrots

    What was your goal in the beginning? To lose how many pounds per week? I began today and put in two pounds and already feel daunted with a 1250 calorie per day goal! LOL

    Thanks for the suggestions! I'll definitely go to the grocery store and see how much I can get for a weeks worth I'll let you know how much it totals

    1250 calories a day is hard haha, but I know you'll definitely lose that 2lbs you gained super quick. The least I would go down is around 1500 calories, just to be safe from starving myself :laugh:
