Heart Rate

I noticed my heart rate was really high today for usual, 173 max, I was wondering if anyone knows if this decreases the effectiveness of your workout or increases it? Not really finding anything on it online, I'm probably wording it wrong for the search.

    What were you doing? That's really not a terribly fast rate if you're exercising. Your max is probably 220 - {age} so I'm guessing around 200 is your max. You're fine.
