Hi, I'm trying to lose some pounds and the WORST part of it is supperating my cravings and the thing is I don't crave a piece of chocolate I crave the whole bar, not a slice of bread I crave 5 slices.
This week has been totally insane I just think about food and what I'm eating for my next meal
Is there any tips you guys can give me?
I really need some help here

Instead of going with the craving, try something else. Keep some fruit around the house. I know it's not the same thing, but have a piece of fruit, drink a glass of water, and see if the craving is there ten minutes later. Once you're able to break the craving cycle I think you might find it's like it was never there.0

Could you be restricting your calories too low? With only 13 pounds left to lose, you might need to rework your numbers and make sure you are eating enough.
The other part of binging has to do with emotional eating/other issues. If this is the motivation, you have to find a way to deal with these cravings. It's the process of retraining your brain to not seek out food to deal with stress (used to be my problem), deal with uncomfortable emotions, etc. Different strategies work for different people.
It's hard - but it can be done. I am living proof. Best of luck. :flowerforyou:0 -

It's both emotional and restricting my calories ):0 -

Why are you restricting your calories so low? That will make it impossible to keep cravings under control. It sounds like you have issues with binging in general, and that means you have to do the hard work to stop that from being the connection your brain makes. I did it by delaying the binge. At first, I might not last 2 minutes. Then it became easier to wait for 5 minutes. Now, I can wait forever. I found that if I made it to the 15 minute mark - I no longer felt that weakness to cave to the craving.
You will never believe how awesome the feeling is the first time you completely destroy the craving. You will be high 5ing yourself all over the room. This creates a new reality for you and your brain. Eventually, it gets a lot easier. Do I still get tempted? Yes, but it's manageable now.0 -
I get wicked cravings too....but compromise.....I only eat 2 sticks of a KITKAT chocolate bar instead of 4, 1/2 piece of banana bread instead of a whole. Your mouth gets a taste....drink TONS of water after that "taste". I portion out potato chips into a bowl....one serving instead of the entire bag! I tend to look at my bowl full and ration them...make them last, otherwise, it's mindless munching and before you know it....the entire bag of chips is gone
How many/much of something do we really need before our craving is satistfied??? Baby steps.... until you notice you avoided the food altogether. I was told once and it sometimes helps....when we "crave" something....when we feel hunger and it's irrational that we'd actually be HUNGRY....is when we are burning the calories....0 -
Hiya Crazy Cravings,
I stop and ask. Really is this something you really want? You gotta want your new you more than you want that silly, whatever you are craving. Love your self more than wanting those empty calories. And hey, if you really want it go for it and start again tomorrow.0
