Nutrisystem

Is there any Nutrisystem users on MFP that would like to become a friend with me?

I tried nutrisystem once or twice. I don't know how their food is now, but when I tried it, it tasted terrible. I like just eating what I like and staying within my goals and exercising regularly. Seems to work fine for me.

I am on Nutrisystem and love it. The food has supposedly improved from years ago. I sent you a friend request
  • I tried it back in March strictly for a month. Right now I still have most of a 2nd shipment and I'll use meals here and there. But I'm not entirely on the nutrisystem plan.
  • Hi there all! I know this is an old-ish thread but I too am on nutrisystem! I started on June 1 at 239 lbs. today I'm 211.7. I feel like a part of my success is counting my caloric intake, which is why I'm here! Nutrisystem's tracking app isn't that great lol. So feel free to add me :)

I was on NS a while back and had great success, but when being re-introduced to non-NS food gained the weight back and then some

I found it hard to do NS and MFP at the same time because NS has it's own app where you log in the food and whatnot. And NS doesn't count calories/macros like MFP does. You have your 3 NS meals and a snack, and add your additions....sometimes I'd see my totals at the end of the day on MFP and be like "WHAT!!!???"

So even though this thread is old, I figured I'd put that out there. Maybe use MFP for the support threads and for more motiviation, but logging all your food into 2 apps might make you a bit nutty.

I have been on it since June 8th. I promised myself I would be on it for 6 month and re-evaluate my situation at that time and make a decision on whether to continue or not. My 5th box has just been sent and should arrive any day now. In this new order I have some frozen items arriving instead of all the shelf food I had been getting. I sent you an invite to be friends.

So, I started officially on Tuesday, but over the weekend, I started to clean up my diet the best of my ability. I am supplementing and eating what my family eats when they are eating healthy. (like Tuesday night when I had grilled chicken and veggies)

I'm liking most of the foods. If I can eat a muffin everyday for breakfast, I'll be a happy girl. I will say that I do add a protein shake every morning, but that's because I need the extra protein.

Two weeks ago I added in the 10 days of frozen foods. Until then I was only using the shelf foods and had a 3 week stand still with my weight and then a gain. Since adding in the frozen foods I have lost 8 pounds of course 3 of that was from the gain. In 4 months I am happy to say I have lost 30 pounds. Not as much as I would like and if it hadn't been for the 3 weeks of standing still and 1 week gain it might have been more.
However I am finding the frozen foods so much more satisfying and enjoyable to eat. This week was a breeze for me and I even was able to control myself when I attended an award ceremony which provided a breakfast. I had only the eggs and counted it as a snack as it was almost 10:30 when we got the meal. I didn't eat the sausage, bacon, hash brown and danish. So happy I did as if I had eaten that I probably wouldn't have lost any weight this week.

How are you all doing? Did everyone have a great week too? Do you all get some of the frozen foods too?

Everyone did you know there is a NS group that we can join on this MFP site. How about joining with me so we can have a place to post to on a weekly basis or even more often. Here is the link http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/19991-nutrisystem-family
