How accurate are calorie displays on workout apps?

Sorry if I've already asked this, but it's not showing up on my phone.
I've been using one of those daily workout apps (cardio, arm, leg, butt, and ab). At the end if every workout it tells you how many calories you've burned.
I know it won't be entirely accurate, but how close is it?
Does it give me a good estimate? Or should I just disregard it?
