What is the best recovery process? I've heard mixed reviews and I'm wondering what everyone thinks. Let's just say the the P90X Legs and Back worked!

Well, stretching can help loosen tight muscles. A hot bath might help, too.
I find, for me, gentle movements all day help with the soreness best. A good walk or some yoga stretches are good.
I also like to eat foods with lots of potassium (I don't know if it is a wives' tale that it works, but for me it does.) I like bananas and baked potatoes.
Oh, and get back on the horse. Don't wait a week before you work out again. Its ok to rest for a day or two to avoid muscle damage, but don't give up.
Lastly, be gentle on yourself. You don't have to work out so hard you damage your body. Its great to push your limits to reach the next level, but there is a fine line between achy sore muscles that experienced new exercises and terrible injuries.0 -
Thanks for the advice. I usually will take a protein shake after the workout. I do stretch and when I can I will use a form roller. I'm considering an ice bath. Have you had experience with an ice bath after a workout?0
