Re-start

I'm Tiffany and I'm re-starting my fitness pal. My goal is to be healthy by next summer and if I lose weight along the way great. I have tried the all cardio routine and I didn't stick with that long. I'm more interested in strength training and toning my self up. I have two kids 8 & 10 who play sports (football and baseball) and I work full time as a nurse so I'm super busy during the week but try to at least get 1-2 hrs in the gym Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I do at least 30 mins of cardio each day (Fri.-Sun.) and split my strength training up into those 3 days. I'm looking for motivation and encouragement also strength training routines to do in the gym, also I would like great easy meals for me and my family that are healthy and I don't have to make 2 different meals. (I have a picky eater too) Any advise would be great! Thanks in advance!

I am in a very similar situation. I am a mother of 3 ( 8, 4, and 10 months). Way to go on your weekend exercise!!! I have just been taking bike rides and walks with the kids but know I have to kick it up a bit. I have recently started eating healthier with the same goal of improving my health and the health of my family and am hoping that I will lose some of this extra weight I am hauling around. I decided that I wanted to limit processed food and later found out that people call that eating "clean". I am not following the clean diet 100% but I am trying to eat things closest to the form in which God provided it to us. My kids are getting that juice treats are not as healthy as a piece of fruit (or healthy at all). We are also trying to "eat the rainbow" each day in colors of fruits/veggies. This has helped with some of the vegetables they are having to deal with. If you would like to friend me I would love to share hits and misses with recipes for our families. I have had a few of both.
