Looking for an at-home exercise routine

Hey everyone! I want to add some exercise into my daily schedule, but I don't have the option of joining a gym or buying equipment right now. Any ideas of good exrecises that I can do back-to-back to burn a nice amount of cals? I was think jumping jacks, burpees, and lunges... maybe even holding a can of corn in each hand to use as weights... lol. What else? Also, what's a good number of reps to do for each exercise? (I'm a beginner, haven't been really active in 2+ yrs.)

    What are your fitness goals?

Do you have any equipment at home currently?

Fitnessblender.com has lots of free online workouts. Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred is a popular beginner workout and it's available on YouTube. Running is also a cheap workout - all you need is a good pair of trainers - and there are good beginner programmes such as Couch 2 5K to get you started.

There are also options for body-weight strength training programmes such as You Are Your Own Gym or Convict Conditioning. YAYOG has a smart phone app for tracking workouts.

There are many options to chose from depending on your preferences. Do you want to focus on strength or cardio or do a mix of both? What is your level of fitness? How much time do you want to spend? Do you want to follow along with some video or complete your routine on your own?

I started a few weeks ago with this simple routine because I was (and still am) pretty weak:

After a few weeks I got bored of doing 'on my own' and now I use DVDs. On youtube there is a wide range of workout videos available for free.

Thanks for the responses. All good ideas... But I'm looking for things that I can do without a video.

Bunnylion -- to answer your questions -- I want to really focus on cardio/fat-loss for right now, but I wouldn't mind some strength exercises in there too. My level of fitness is pretty low. (I haven't worked out in a looong time.) I'd like to spend about 30 minutes doing the exercises and I'd like to do the routine on my own. I also don't mind using 5 different exercises and just repeating the routine a few times to get in the 30 mins.
