"Expect to encounter adversity in your life, rememering that you live in a deeply fallen world. Stop trying to find a way that circumvents difficulties. The main problem with an easy life is that it masks your need for Me. When you became a Christian, I infused My very Life into you, empowering you to live on a supernatural plane by depending on Me.
Anticipate coming face to face with impossibilities: situations totatlly beyond your ability to handle. This awareness of your inadequacy is not something you should try to evade. It is precisely where I want you - the best place to encounter Me in My Glory and Power. When you see armies of problems marching toward you, cry out to Me! Allow Me to fight for you. Watch Me working on your behalf, as you rest in the shadow of My Almighty Presence.
Rev 19:1; Ps 91:1"
How can I relate this to my weight loss journey?
I know for me I tend to want sugar when I really stress. I have to remember I am going to be facing me hard times in life and I can't be turning to the sugar for comfort. Just like it isn't good to turn to drugs when life gets too hard. It don't solve nothing. In the end I will always be upset with myself for doing so. I need to turn more to God during those situations.
"Good Morning Father. Thank you for helping me on this journey. I can not do this without you. Please infuse more into me, help me to not to rely on myself but You to get through this journey. Help me get through this day. This moment. I love you Father, In Jesus Name, Amen."
Please share what you get out of it.

Dear Posters,
I wanted to offer a brief explanation for the locking of this thread. This discussion is welcome to continue in groups.
The forum guidelines include this item:
15. Divisive Topics Are Better Suited For Groups, Not the Main Forums
Divisive topics and posts, particularly those that seek input from or are relevant only to a select group of users, are better placed within an appropriate Group rather than the Main Forums. For example, topics relevant to only one religion should not be placed on the main forums but rather within a group related to that religion.
