Before you pounce on me, i mean AFTER i've had the baby - I'm due next month.
in 2008 I was a UK 12 bottoms and 10 top. I was slim and toned and thought i looked pretty good to be honest. As a teen I was very overweight and worked hard to overcome it. I was finally happy with my weight.
During my pregnancy with my son i put on around 50lbs. I carried on putting on weight after he was born and then stupidly starting ttc for our second. I know now I should have lost the weight first! Anyway I've stopped weighing myself so no idea how much I've put on but I can tell it's a lot as I had to buy a size 20 jumper the other day when I used to buy a size 10... so I've pretty much doubled my weight I'm guessing.
ANYWAY sorry for the long ramble... basically I stopped my old job and decided to change my life, and if i get a place at university in september 2011 i will be on the path to a new career! I want to have lost some of this weight before then
So I guess I'll be starting in Feb, and my goal will be september
But for now I'm going to concentrate on trying to change my eating habits - eat healthier etc

I also just had a son in November and a trick i learned is after you have your baby when you are losing all the fluids and everything and dropping weight quickly, watch what you eat. I did that right after I had him and was dropping weight like crazy including all the fluids but also because I was eating less calories so in the long run your losing more! I had a csection though so I couldn't exercise for a long time but It still helped. Anyways Good Luck on your journey and you can add me as a friend if you would like! :flowerforyou:0

good luck with the baby and weightloss.
i'm regaining my weight after two kids - i was a size 10-12 before getting pregnant the first time, after i'd had him i had to buy size 22 jeans  now i'm a 14-16 and i've managed it in about 6 months .0 -

I am in the US, so I am not as familiar with UK sizes, but isn't a size 10 UK *really* tiny? Like teeny, teeny tiny?
My mom gave me some plain white t-shirts from Ireland that are a size 14 (I am assuming that they are the same as UK sizes). I am a size 2-4 in US sizes and the size 14 shirts from Ireland are only slightly big on me. I am 5'8" and weigh 128 pounds.
So based on that, it seems like a size 10UK would be like a 0 US?0 -
Depending on the label there's usually a 1-2 size number discrepancy - a UK10 is about a US60

Yes i think it's about 2 sizes difference...
so in US i used to be 8 bottoms 6 top and now about a US 16
Thanks for the links everyone! xxx0
