Constant stomach pains after beginning diet

A family member began her weight loss in January (which is 8 months now, minus 50+ pounds) and constantly complains of stomach discomfort . She's had these problems for months, refuses to see a doctor . She eats fruits, vegetables, eggs, and chicken. What she considers cheating is eating raisins or frosted flakes cereal. Her diet consists of bland food due to her stomach sensitivity. Just from overeating lettuce, she gets stomach aches. She said that it always feels like there's gas she cannot release .She refuses to take any probiotics. This isn't normal, it's gone on for months. But it might be stress. Does it sound like IBS

Well, how regular is she? I experience IBS when eating gluten, and I'm strict GF diet for 4+ years now but when I went back to eating it for a few months to see how I'd feel, I had really bad gas, bloating, would switch between bad diarrhea and bad constipation, just very very uncomfortable. But I doubt it's IBS. She could just be undereating - I know that when I don't eat enough, I can get some wicked bad stomach pangs. I've even gotten sick from not eating enough when I had a very long shift and was not given a break to eat food for 8 hours.
Otherwise she might be eating something she's allergic to... if that's all she's eating then perhaps eggs. She also probably is not eating nearly enough fat, which will help with keeping regular and with hunger and stomach issues.0
