I need to trim down my bingo wings

Hi folks

I'm looking for some advice on how best to tone my arms, I mean my bingo wings/tuck shop arms/faduabidas/chicken wings/arm fillets whatever you like to call them are truly up their with the best of them, I mean they'd be a thing of beauty if only they weren't so hideous! xD
I was talking with a friend of mine about this and she suggested I start carrying weights with me while doing my daily walk, would this really have much of a benefit? My friend has really toned arms but I know she also does push-ups and sit ups and is generally just a very fit person so im not sure how much of her toning came from walking with weights.

I've considered going out and buying say two 3 kilo weights to walk with, but then I was wondering if it would serve me better to just buy heavier ones say 5-10kg and just sort of do my daily walks as normal then lift the weights as a separate work out?

Is their some other method/workout I should try? I mean I've lost quite a few inches off my waist/hips/thighs and bust but my bingo wings have stayed exactly the same throughout all of this :( and its starting to really bug me, like I try on a top/dress and it might fit me in the waist and everything but its cutting circulation off, or I cant wear it comfortably because its stretched to breaking point all thanks to my giant arms :(

any help or tips or whatever would be appreciated

As you've probably heard, fat loss can't be targeted. It comes off from wherever it wants to, not from the areas you work. So the best thing you could do is follow a standard fat loss plan. Good fat loss plans include full-body strength training. That will do far more than holding weights while walking, which doesn't burn many calories, plus it can cause orthopedic problems. Pick a good strength program like NROL, Stronglifts, Nerd Fitness, or hire a trainer. That plus a calorie deficit will burn fat - from anywhere. We don't get to choose.

    ^^^ As they said.

Use (heavy) weights to work the biceps and triceps to reveal a toned look.

I agree with the heavy weights.

I've lost nearly 30 lbs over the last 6 months, and as I am over 60, the skin is not as elastic as it used to be. I've been doing various tricep extensions, dips off bench, pressups, bench press etc, and there is still some way to go, but most definitely they are better looking than they would be if I hadn't been doing them. Biceps are fuller and rounder as well. You can't spot reduce, but you certainly need to exercise them to fill out the muscle. Saggy skin otherwise!

    Thanks for the replies!

I know you cant really target specific areas to lose weight from...it would be awesome if it were possible!
But I just thought you know doing squats and crunches and stuff those exercises at least are used to tone those specific areas, im not really doing much now to help my arms though.
I think I will look into getting some weights and starting to incorporate more strength training into my work outs.
I had a look at some of the websites suggested that might be a good place for me to start because I know NOTHING about lifting and there's a good chance I'll severely injure myself some how if I just try and wing it :P

    anyways thanks again :)
