Wah!
Ok, so the stress just won't go away right now! I really wasn't happy at my college this last year, so I thought I would transfer. My parents were very supportive of this decision, but now they have changed their minds, saying they think I should return to that school! Then, to top it off, I've never been really been positive what I want to do, my major has always been kind of up in the air, with me thinking that I'd find my way, but it's getting to that point where I HAVE to decide, and I JUST CAN"T! I know, everyone is just like "you have to find what you are passionate about." But what happens when you are kind of passionate about a lot of things and not a lot passionate about one thing? bah. Just stressing and trying to not let it turn into me stuffing myself with food.

Is not going to lock you into anything completly what ever you decide. I know people who have degrees in a totatally unrelated field. All that matters these days is that you have a degree. Which sad to say now it seems that you need two degrees to really stand out but regardless of what you choose all that matters is that you pass.

Often people will receive a degree in something they like and by the time they finish their degree, they find that one thing that makes them happy and study it for their masters.

I received my B.A. in English because I really like Victorian literature and Anglo Saxon lit but I also earned my secondary education certificate because I like to teach. Then along that route, I discovered a passion for technical writing which led me to my professional writing certification.

With my B.A. and certifications in hand I discovered that while I like writing and teaching, I discovered my true passion during my student teaching- school psychology.

There's a Mark Twain scholar at UNLV and this is the advice he gave me when I was in your position. While puffing on this huge cigar he contently looked into the sky and said, "when I was an undergraduate, I earned my bachelors of education with an endorsement in English, taught high school English, went to law school, did technical writing, then fell in love with Mark Twain." Since then he has written 8 books and multiple articles about Mark Twain and early American humor. I find him

You don't have to carve your future in stone your freshman or even senior year. College is about self discovery along the off and beaten path. In some haphazard and desultory fashion you'll find what your true calling is. You may find it in an elective class titled "Introduction to Linguistic Anthropology" or from a lecture in Astrophysics. Hell, a life experience may turn your life's plan upside down!

Don't stress, you'll find what your passion is when you're not looking for it. :flowerforyou:
