Exercise after surgery

Hi all, I am one week post op from laprascopic surgery. I have an incision in my belly button, and one just above my pubic bone. I'm wondering if anyone knows when I can start getting back into my usual workout routine ( currently Jillian Michaels for Beginners). It's not terribly difficult, but has a lot of ab work. I've seen everything from resuming works as soon as you "feel ready" to waiting 6 weeks or more. I'm not quite feeling ready yet, but I've found that I miss my 45 minutes with Jillian ( who am I kidding, I miss the extra 400 calories I burn )
Any advice would be helpful. For now I'll keep resisting the urge to scratch at this horrible itching

I was told 6 weeks for core work. Pretty much it's what you can do without popping your internal stitches, you don't want to have to go back in to get them re-sewn, and I think it takes 6 weeks to dissolve.0

Yeah the standard is 6 weeks however if u dont feel ready just start slowly I had laproscopic surgery pretty big at the end of april and it even now I can get twinges if I push too hard but I guess it depends on the surgery and post op my advice listen to ur body there are funnily enough good pains and bad pains if it hurts while u working out then push thro if its hurting during recovery pull back rest and give ur body some time0
